Recently, on 17th July, 2011, famous singer Suresh wadkar is awarded by Balgandharva award and Music composer Ajay-Atul is awarded by Yuva (Young) balgandharva award at village Nagthane, the birth place of Balgandharva in Sangli district. (Maharashtra)
"Ajay Atul are stars of film industry and they will create their magic of music just like A. R. Rehman, R. D. Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal" said famous singer Suresh Wadkar while receiving Balgandharva award 2011. he added," This is biggest award I ever received and feeling proud while receiving it."
Ajay Atul expressed, "We are so glad to get such a great award in our career's starting point. This award has increased our responsibilities and we will definitely fulfill them."
The award is instituted by Balgandharva Smarak Samiti ad given by Mr. Patangrao Kadam minister of Forests, Rehabilitation & Relief Works, Earthquake Rehabilitation department. During this event, Mr. Kadam also promised to complete statue of Balgandharva before a month.
'Waterproof stage and sets' and a 'big photo of Balgandharva' was displayed on stage. Thousands of people were enjoying the event. On the occasion of this event, Suresh Wadkar presented his songs "Megha re Megha re" and "Devapudhe manus palapachola" while Ajay-Atul presented their famous creation "Deva tuzya dari alo.."
We are not different!!
When someone asked Atul about their individual identity then Atul Gogavne said, "Though we have different bodies, our mind is unique. Let people know us with the name 'Ajay-Atul'. Dont try to divide us."
